The important changes from this week’s Black Desert update.
The official NA/EU notes are authoritative. Unlisted preview changes are not presented as shipped changes.
What matters and why.
Arena of Solare gains the permanent Solare Legacy progression: previous ranked records were counted at launch; scores accumulate per class (shared across Family) and across seasons; each of seven badge tiers requires both a point threshold and a minimum win count.
Rawr-Rawr is converted from a Hunting Field Boss into a scheduled World Boss with daily spawns (EU 17:00 UTC / NA 00:00 UTC), a weekly '[Weekly] Obtain Rawr-Rawr's Loot' quest that rewards a Rawr-Rawr Reward Box (guaranteed hunting materials and gold bars plus chance-based rare rewards), top-20 contributor direct rewards, Narcion’s domain spawning five minutes after Rawr-Rawr to let players infuse matchlocks for heavy damage, and increased matchlock/sniper durability reform options via Gauche Rawr-Rawr's Heart (first reform +200, optional second reform raising reformed weapon from 350 to 600).
DirectX 12 and AMD FSR 3.1 are available (DirectX 11 remains supported). FSR 3.1 requires DirectX 12 and Windows 10 22H2+, improves upscaling quality and adds a Sharpness option; FSR 3.1 frame generation is not included in this update.

Rawr-Rawr moves from a Hunting Field Boss to a scheduled World Boss. Main loot comes from a weekly quest that rewards a Rawr-Rawr Reward Box and Contribution EXP; top-20 contributors receive extra direct rewards. Narcion’s domain spawns five minutes after the boss to let players obtain energy that infuses matchlocks and deal heavy damage to Rawr-Rawr.
The Rawr-Rawr Reward Box guarantees a set of hunting materials and gold bars; it can also contain rare chance rewards such as Rawr-Rawr's Heart and other high-value items.
Top contributors to Rawr-Rawr receive extra Wildspark, rhino materials and gold bars; larger stacks are awarded to the Top 5.
The first Rawr-Rawr's Heart reform now grants a much larger Max Durability increase, and a second reform option was added to further raise maximum durability.
Khalk and Gargoyle groups appear in Inner Edania; Khalk can occasionally appear radiating powerful energy and yield a jackpot of loot. Tainted Khalk Fluid (used for Perfume of Resolve) and Khalk Blood (alchemy substitute) are new drops.
Five types of Tachyon Traces appear in Inner Edania; passing trials grants Agris Gold Coins and knowledge (XV, XXX, XLV, LX, LXXV).
Stage-four Agris Gold Coin exchange limits increased for certain items.
The Hwanghae party Black Shrine interface shows each party member’s remaining revives below their selected aura.
A new defensive perfume crafted with Tainted Khalk Fluid. It grants All Resistance +10%, All Damage Reduction +15, Max HP +300, Movement Speed +5% and Max Stamina +300 for 20 minutes. An Immortal version that persists through death was also added.
Tainted Khalk Fluid (crafting material for Perfume of Resolve) and Khalk Blood (alchemy substitute) are separate items with distinct uses. Tainted Khalk Fluid has Central Market price bounds.
Translation note: Official NA/EU localization uses 'Tainted Khalk Fluid' rather than the placeholder 'Khalk extract' in the preview.Central Market maximum prices increased for key Khalk items and Perfume of Khalk items.
Earn one Legacy point per completed ranked match on the class you play. Progress is shared by same-class characters in your family, combines Succession and Awakening, and persists across seasons. Each tier also requires a minimum number of wins in addition to a points threshold. Previous ranked records were counted when the system went live.

Choose DirectX 11 or DirectX 12 in the launcher settings. DirectX 12 improves the rendering foundation; if the game cannot start with DirectX 12 it will fall back to DirectX 11.
DirectX 12 uses AMD FSR 3.1 (DirectX 11 retains FSR 1.0). FSR 3.1 adds sharper upscaling, improved motion stability and a sharpness slider; frame generation is not included in this update.
